Makaha is a pristine location for the perfect vacation. It’s far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city to allow you to kick back and relax, yet it’s close enough for you to see all the tourist attractions on your daily excursions–time your trips–traffic is a factor. Whatever you choose to do, it’s a great location for it all!
Makaha is located:
- About 40–45 minutes from the Honolulu International Airport
- About 50–55 minutes from Waikiki and Honolulu
- About 30 minutes from Waipahu
- About a 45–60 minute drive away from North Shore or the Polynesian Cultural Center
- About 40–45 minutes from Pearl Harbor
- About 45 minutes to Schofield Barracks—if you have military authority to use Kolekole Pass, you can reduce a significant amount of time from the commute
- About a convenient, 20-minute drive to Kapolei—here, you can enjoy shopping, fine dining, new and wonderful sevices (e.g., 24-hour fitness center) and a 16-plex theatre
We’re 20 minutes away from Ko’Olina, Disney Au’lani, and Ihi’lani Spa Resort–depending on traffic.

Makaha is one of Hawaii’s unspoiled, rural treasures. It’s filled with natural beauty, nestled between majestic mountains, white sandy beaches, and the aquamarine ocean. Populated by an eclectic mix of people (all ethnicities, economic levels, and ages), there’s a quaint charm in the various cultural heritages that make up Makaha.
Leeward Coast has the largest population (85%) of native Hawaiians on Oahu; that’s what makes us special. Our warm and wonderfully friendly folks are happy to share their slice of a Paradise with you. Come , learn, and share in our very special culture!
Makaha is a great place to get a taste of some of the local cuisine: from fast-food restaurants and various ethnic restaurants to amazing breakfast and lunch spots where you can enjoy delicious smoothies, there’s something to tantalize everyone’s palate. We even have a lively Sports Bar.
Our condos are located just a mile or two away from all the grocery stores, drug stores, banks, and souvenir shops. Close to the condos are Makaha’s two golf clubs (one under renovation at this writing) and their amazing restaurants.
Your fine dining cravings can also be met by the several restaurants nearby. Ko’Olina and Ihi’lani are about 20-minutes away and Kapolei is also nearby.
Driving to Makaha from the Honolulu International Airport couldn’t be easier. Enjoy the stunning views as you drive down the straight road along the ocean to your comfortable condo in Makaha.
Take H1 West out of the airport exit and stay on H1 all the way to Makaha. When H1 comes to a “Y”, you will see a big overhead sign directing you to Waianae—that’s where you stay in one of the 2 left lanes. Somewhere along the way—just past Kapolei—H1 becomes Farrington Highway.
Your condo is easy to find just past Makaha Town. It is oceanside, of course! You will see 2 buildings on the coast–ours is the taller of the two.
